An accomplished writer, Cindy won her first competition at the tender age of ten for the story, “Jen…Gin”, about two girls who lived on the opposite sides of their mirror. Currently living in Los Angeles, Cindy hails from Michigan. She brings an innate “Middle America” sensibility to her writing. She has studied at the UCLA Screenwriters’ Program, has a BAA from Central Michigan University in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, with an emphasis in journalism and currently consults with screenwriting guru, Pilar Alessandra.
Her mission is to “write meaningful prose that will change people’s lives.”
Cindy has over 20 years experience in advertising, sales and marketing including middle and upper management, rising from junior sales account executive in radio to Vice President, Sales Manager for Blair Television in Los Angeles – an international media rep firm. During her career she’s been responsible for selling and managing millions of dollars in media spending for clients such as Ford, GM, Nestle, Disney, Sony and more.

She is also a professionally trained actress, has studied at length with artistic giants in the performance field and continues to be active in the film & theatre community throughout the Los Angeles area, most notably with The Production Company.
She served on the Board of Directors for American Women in Radio and Television, Art & Soul Center of Los Angeles, and was founder and president of The POWDER Network (Power of Women Developing Entertainment Resources), a professional networking organization for women in entertainment.
Cindy enjoys traveling, SCUBA diving, golf, hiking, movies, reading, dining with friends and generally exploring.

A former Miss Indiana, Cindy was a national finalist in the Miss America Pageant.
Cindy sang the national anthem on the 20-yard line at the opening of the Indianapolis Colts Hoosier Dome and forgot the words on national television as the entire team ran out of the locker room onto the field.
A huge movie buff, some of Cindy’s favs are: Breakfast at Tiffany’s, To Catch a Thief, Wizard of Oz, Rear Window and the original Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory.
Early role models were Nancy Drew, Mary Tyler Moore (as Mary Richards), Barbra Streisand, Diane Sawyer, Mark Twain and Betty Buckley.
She once crash-landed a hot air balloon in the middle of a race, much to the chagrin of the farmer whose crops were smashed to a pulp.
