What is The POWDER Network?
|
The POWDER Network, was formed in January 2000 as part of a Millennium resolution: to energize our careers and empower ourselves. It began with a handful of actresses meeting informally on a regular basis to share stories, ideas, laughter and encouragement. There is strength in numbers.
While this will always be a fundamental part of our organization, our goal is grow in numbers and purpose. In doing so, we regularly bring in guest speakers -- from inspiring actors and writers to insightful casting directors, producers and teachers, to beauty, health and financial experts, thereby expanding and enhancing all aspects of our lives.

Our Mission Statement:
“The POWDER Network seeks to provide actresses with a safe, supportive place to grow and share the journey. We celebrate each other’s uniqueness and strive to offer a unified voice in the entertainment community. We use our developing resources to network in the industry and to develop our craft. As a group, we hurdle the obstacles and rejoice the achievements.”
Another of our goals is to reach out to women in ancillary entertainment professions for fellowship. We welcome women in all areas of the entertainment community.
The POWDER Network is currently on Hiatus.
